John Robert Ablett

One of the QB Senior Centre's original members, John Ablett, passed away quite suddenly on Sunday May 3rd.   Thankfully, his daughters were able to visit with him the day before.   His wife, Pat, predeceased him just 4 months ago. He leaves his daughters, Susan and Helen (Rick), and granddaughter, Kayla, as well as brother Noel (Ima) and brother-in-law Hugh (Marie).
John was an original member of the QB Seniors' Centre having joined in 1997. He was part of the committee that readied the old Library building for occupancy and was also part of the committee that made decisions on the move to our present premises.  John served on the Board of Directors at least three times and remained as Administrator until now.   He was certainly the go-to person for an answer to any question to do with the procedures of the organization.  So many of us will miss him - and his expertise.
