Jacqueline Birch Obituary

In Loving Memory Of
Jaqueline Carol Lynn Birch
Sept 30, 1949-Jan 10, 2024

Jaqueline passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 10, 2024. Beloved wife of 53 years to Frank and loving mother to Stacey and Yvonne(Todd), Gramma to cherished grandchildren Jagger, Telicia, Eva and Ziggy. She will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

Jaqueline was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on September 30, 1949, the youngest child of Lillian and Allan Munnoch. She grew up with 3 sisters and one brother.

Jaqueline and Lillian moved to New West in the mid 60’s. Then one day riding the elevator she met her future Husband. The next 53 year adventure they went from New West to Ocean Falls, to Port Alice and later to Qualicum Beach.

Jacueline enjoyed running through mud puddles with little Nora, Quilting(thanks Karen), walking the trails in the bush, Port Alice Dike, Little Qualicum River,  gardening, and was always helping others.

We would like to thank Dr. Susan Hunter, what a wonderful person, and all the nurses and staff at Trillium Hospice, Dr. Wagenaar and their staff, Kensington and Windsor neighbours and Debbie for being there for Jaqueline through all of this.

Miss Me - But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me- but let me go.
