Dorothy (Lyn) Leone (White) Hinkson

In loving memory ~
Lyn was born in Toronto, Ontario where she met and married her true love Frank Hinkson and recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary.
Lyn spent her early years as a professional model in Toronto and continued in Regina, Sk where they moved to raise their family. Lyn was mother to Kim (Kathy) Hinkson, Toni (Rand) Norton, Mark (Rebecca) Hinkson, 8 beautiful grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
Mom loved her years in Regina before moving to their dream home “Shorehaven” on Echo Lake, Sk. After some years they decided to retire on Vancouver Island. It would be wrong to say that mom lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how her health was failing her joy for life, her family and indomitable spirit kept her strong.
Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in mom..she truly lived! Loved life and all those who shared in the adventure with her. Mom’s life was her family!
The family will be holding a private “Celebration of Life”. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to your favourite charity.
