Dianne (age 79) of Nanoose BC passed away at Eagle Park in Qualicum Beach on January 10, 2021.
Dianne was born in Port Alberni BC on February 18, 1941 to Hazel and Frank Pryznyk and was their only child.
The family soon after moved to Victoria BC where she grew up surrounded by Hazel’s family. Dianne attended the Victoria Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1962.
It was in Victoria where she met and married her husband Arnold on February 16 1963. They had three daughters, Susanne (Stark), Yvonne (Pirhonen) and Leanne (Ennik).
Dianne loved being a nurse and worked at St. Paul’s in Vancouver and Campbell River General, supported other community based medical programs for newborns and seniors, taking time off to raise her daughters in between.
Dianne retired from nursing in 1997 and moved to Nanoose Bay, where she enjoyed friends and family visits that included her four granddaughters and explored the world travelling with Arnold.
Dianne was a wonderful cook, baker, seamstress and gardener, and was always up for a good game of Crib or Bridge.
Dianne will be greatly missed by her husband Arnold, daughters Susanne, Yvonne and Leanne, son-in-laws Wayne, Timo and Lorne, and granddaughters Lauren, Teija, Libby and Hannah.
Memorials or Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
