Brenda Jennie McLellan

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Brenda Jennie McLellan on Friday October 9th . Peacefully, and with her family at her side, she died at Nanaimo General hospital however, made jokes and bossed everyone around until the very end. Remembered by her beloved husband of 42 years Don, her 3 children: Jordan, Lauren & Rory, and most recently, her new Pride and Joy, Wallace –Brenda’s first Grandson, (by Jordan and his wife Andrea). Brenda’s infectious laugh and zest for life touched the lives of many. Her extended family, In-laws and many friends of the family remember Brenda for her warm heart, her ‘doors open’ approach and the jokes she would tell that often sounded like riddles. You could call her at any time of the day and know she’d be there - and loved her family fiercely. Her impact on the nursing community, specifically at RVH in Barrie, ON was substantial and she carried her passion for the medical field, into retirement on Vancouver Island. She spent her spare time in the garden, cooking for “the boys” and always making sure wherever she was, felt like home.  The oldest of 5 girls, she knew how to demand attention and always bought the very best gifts. Predeceased by her Parents, Dermot & Helen, we hope she’s found peace in that reunion. She will be missed dearly but the best parts of her live on in her Children and held dearly in the family’s hearts.

Due to Covid restrictions there will be a celebration of life with immediate family only.
