Janet Winifred Mirams- Harrison (nee Allen)

Michael and Christopher Mirams-Harrison sadly announce the passing of Janet aged 87, on the morning of December 31st, 2019 after a lengthy illness. A resident of Trillium Lodge Parksville for the past 11 years, she is survived by her husband Michael and only son Christopher and three grandchildren, Alexander, Jeremy and Emily. She also leaves to mourn her brother and sister-in law, Graham and June Allan in England and many nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Evelyn Allen also of England.

Born in Surrey England in 1932, Janet came to Canada in 1967 and she and Michael were married that same year in San Francisco and took up residence in Victoria.

Janet was a wonderful musician and touched many lives in teaching piano to children in the Victoria and Qualicum area over many years. She loved accompanying many school choirs in Qualicum from 1992 when she first moved to the area and also become a long-time member of the Malaspina University choir.

She will be sadly missed by many friends and families in the Victoria/Qualicum area.

We would like to make a special mention to all the staff and nurses at Trillium Lodge in Parksville who lovingly cared for Janet throughout her long stay with them especially towards the end of her illness.

A special family internment was held at St Mark Anglican Church in Qualicum.
