The Traditional Funeral with Burial

 

Most people are familiar with what is known as the “Traditional Service”, consisting of the following elements:

 

- Transfer of deceased from the place of death to the funeral home for preparation

 

- A period of time is set aside for open or closed casket viewing normally the evening before or the day of the service.

 

- A public or private ceremony in a church or assembly hall of ones choice.

 

- Committal Service for burial in a cemetery or cremation takes place.

The Memorial Service

 

This is probably the most familiar form of service for families in our area, consisting of the following elements:

 

- Transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home for preparation.

 

- Viewing for family may be arranged if the family desires this.

 

- A public or private ceremony either in a church of your choice or any other location suitable for the family

The Basic Cremation Service

 

This is available for those not wishing any type of service, consisting of the following elements:

 

- Transfer of deceased from the place of death to the funeral home.

 

- Viewing for family may be arranged if so desired.

 

- Immediate cremation takes place.

 

- No formal service
